Southwestern Workforce Development Board Assists US DHHS Child Support Enforcement Division With WIOA Training
The Southwestern Workforce Development Board was asked by the US Department of Labor’s regional office in Atlanta to assist the US Department of Health and Human Services Child Support Enforcement Division with training on collaboration as it relates to the (WIOA) Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. On July 21, 2015 Todd Douglas, Workforce Development Director with the Southwestern Workforce Development Board, Dale West, Division of Workforce Solutions NCWorks Career Center Manager and Tim Mathis, Division of Workforce Solutions Western Regional Operations Director presented a PowerPoint titled A Collaborative Approach To (WIOA) Success. The training occurred at the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino in Cherokee, NC. Health and Human Services Directors from an eight state region were in attendance. The US Department of Health and Human Services regional office reported that the training was a success and that they had received excellent feedback related to the training.
